Weekend football picks

It's about kickoff time in the world of NCAA football, so I'm getting this week's picks in at the last minute. I completely forgot last week, not that anyone noticed or could possibly care.

Today's games - Vols 24, Irish 16; Bama 29, Miss St. 27; Oklahoma 31, Texas A&M 27; Clemson 24, Miami 22 (Jeff Quinton will be pleased); Florida 124, Vanderbilt 1.

In the pros tomorrow (I know the college players get paid too, but that's under the table) - Steelers 29, Iggles 21; Pats 31, Rams 21; Broncos 30, Texans 24; Carolina 17, Oakland 7; Seahawks 19, 49ers 14 (in a west coast snoozer).

It's a goregous crisp fall Saturday here in Knoxville - hope it's the same wherever you are.
