Vacation over, back to reality

Been out of town and out of touch this weekend. It was fun, but not entirely relaxing. It's never truly relaxing with two little ones, but it's usually fun just the same. So, what have I missed?

• In what has become an artistic tradition at NYU, a graduate student jumped to her death Monday from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. It's being called an "intentional fall" - though no one has come out and referred to it as a piece of performance art. Other students at NYU have gotten into the craze over the last year - four others dove to their deaths in performance art suicides, while one simply scarfed down one too many shrooms.
• Ol' Bubba came through his surgery today. This blogger is glad he made it through. He's the only likeable Clinton. If it had been Hillary, well, I better not say. Speaking of this, Say Anything notes the difference in how right-thinking bloggers have responded to Bubba's bypass in contrast to how pants-shitting leftists responded to the recent death of Ronald Reagan. Rob links to this Dim-O-Crack Underground message board where one leftist well-wisher's love note to Ronnie stated: "i don't care what killed him, alzhiemers or the black plague, i'm glad he's dead and i don't care how many times i'm scolded or chastised for it..." • Michelle Malkin has some more information on last week's Russian school massacre. She also has a clip from Palestinian Authority TV showing how their terror indoctrination and dreams of martrydom start when they're toddlers. She includes this link from London's Mirror describing the horror of what went on inside that school. I repeat, if you aren't prepared to face the fact that we're up against global islamofascism - which is evil incarnate - for our very survival, you need to get the hell out of the way. A vote for Kerry/Edwards is a vote for acquiescence, weakness and defeat. Our defeat.
• It's not all bad news, however, as Israel was able to wipe out 14 palestinian terrorists today.
