This blog is the magnet, and you are steel.

If you have arrived at this site from sixmeatbuffet.com, then either the main site is down and you've received a 404 error, or the main site is down for maintenance. If you've arrived at this site any other way, you should probably know that the Six Meat Buffet blog is actually at SixMeatBuffet.Com.

This is the backup site for use when things go wrong over at the main site. Which is not uncommon. You can always drop me a line at preston-at-sixmeatbuffet-dot-com or sixmeat-at-gmail-dot-com if you have questions.

Why are my gut instincts so often right?

The lovely and intelligent Mrs. Holmes asked me why I thought there would be motivation on anyone's part to cover up the fact that the recent Russian double-plane-crash was terrorism related. I didn't have a good answer.

All I can say, is that when the Soviet - er - Russian news agency TASS says "No Evidence of Terror in Plane Crash," my gut says: terrorism, defintely terrorism. I hadn't thought of why TASS would be motivated to cover it up, it's just what they've done for 100 years. Their tradition of government-controlled, cold-filtered news blather has conditioned me to have such a reaction before all others, I suppose.

Some possible motivations for the Russian government might be to prevent panic, to keep people flying, to downplay the terrorism possiblity to lessen the incident's impact on the Russian economy. I don't know.

What would the motivation be for following TASS' lead domestically? Political correctness, of course. Say Anything points out that major U.S. media was quick to state unequivocally that there was "no terrorism involved". If there is one thing we can count on from the Old Media (besides their support for Lurch & John Boy), it's that their love of the Religion of Peace keeps them in denial that we're fighting a global war against Islamofascists. They'll keep denying it until you and I are praying five times a day towards mecca on our filthy prayer rugs.

On this story from the start, Backcountry Conservative has some good links for more details about today's revelation that the crashes were indeed islamic-terror related. I guess I can drop the "islamic" part since that is inferred by the word "terror".

This one really wasn't even a stretch. Two planes downed simultaneously. Big-time elections in Chechnya in two weeks. It simply followed the 3/11 Spain plan to a T. We'll see if they cave in like the spineless Spaniards did.
