Football roundup

Well, it wasn't a pretty week for predictions. The staff at Six Meat Buffet has suggested that I cease and desist in making football picks. So I fired them.

In the college games, I went 3/5, missing badly (along with everyone else) on the Michigan/ND game. Kudos to the Irish for stepping up and proving everyone wrong. I hope they start sucking again before they come to Knoxville in November.

In the pros, I went 2/4 - nailing the Vikings/Cowboys and Titans/Dolphins games but laying an egg last night in the Chiefs/Broncos game. I do love seeing Dick Vermeil lose, however. Quentin Griffin ran like a man possessed for the Broncos - at 5'7", you'd think he wouldn't have a prayer in the NFL, but he was incredible. Since I picked the Panthers over the Packers tonight, folks in Green Bay should expect a win (hear that, Lisa?).

Did anyone see Eli Manning get his head caved in on the last play of the game in the Giants/Eagles contest? Welcome to the NFL, Eli!
