Fantastical flying obstruction machine
Looks like the Senate is warming up their fantastical flying obstruction machine: Senate dim-o-cracks suggest nominee for CIA chief too partisan.
I really don't know what the dims are complaining about. We finally got rid of Tenet and his merry band of incompetent nincompoops. A potted plant would be an improvement as CIA director over Tenet.
But the top Democrat on the Senate panel, Senator Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia, expressed concern about comments Mr. Goss has made praising President Bush and criticizing Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry.
"Congressman Goss, having reviewed your record closely, I have a number of concerns about whether your past partisan actions or statements will allow you to be the type of nonpartisan, independent and objective national intelligence advisor our country needs," he said.
"Congressman Goss, having reviewed your record closely, I have a number of concerns about whether your past partisan actions or statements will allow you to be the type of nonpartisan, independent and objective national intelligence advisor our country needs," he said.
The only reason that Goss has expressed support for President Bush is because he knows, if Kerry gets elected, there won't be a CIA this time next year. Our critical intelligence needs will be outsourced to Kofi Annon and his cavalcade of corruption.
